Japan Cookies

These cookies were ordered for a family member who was moving to Japan for a year. They celebrate all things Japanese!

Incredibly fierce sumo wrestlers.

 Beautifully dressed Geisha girls.

Japanese flags and cherry blossoms are what comes to mind when I think of Japan.

These cookies were decorated with inspirational Japanese writing. They are the Japanese symbols for love, success, strength, future, travel and spring.

These Kitties were actually from another order, but they fit the theme, so why not?

Equestrian Cookies

These cookies were made for the OUEA finals competition this past weekend.
Hopefully they brought some luck to the riders (and the horses!) in the competition!
This guy didn't compete, but he looks like he would be some fierce competition.
Congratulations to all the winners!

Anniversary Cookies

Since Valentines day is tomorrow, and everyone can us a little bit of love, here are some cookies to give you that warm fuzzy feeling.
These cookies weren't actually made for Valentines day, but they were made last year for two different couples celebrating anniversaries last year.
One set was made for a couple who were celebrating their 4th anniversary, while the others were for  a married couple celebrating 60 years together!
If that doesn't make you feel the love, nothing will!
I hope everyone has a great Valentines day shared with those special loved ones

Hockey Cookies

Winter is Hockey season, when one goes to the game every week instead of the cottage, and when there is guaranteed to be a good game on to listen to every night while icing cookies.

I'm not a huge fan of any particular team, I just like a good hockey game... but there is one team I like to see lose. It happens to be the team above, but trust me, these Montreal Canadiens cookies wouldn't leave a bitter taste in my mouth, or yours.

On the other hand, the Toronto Maple Leafs are a team I like to see win every now and then, but personal biases asides, these cookies taste equally delicious.

To see some Boston Bruins cookies, take a look at the photo stream on the Decorated Delectables home page.

These guys are sweet on the inside but fierce on the outside. They almost refused to be in the same picture together, and certainly were not baked on the same cookie sheet.

Let the game begin!

Christmas cookies have arrived at Decorated Delectables.
Creating beautiful Christmas cookies is the reason that I first began cookie decorating , so it is very exciting to share Christmas cookies with other families this year!

Aargh, Pirates Like Cookies Too!

We're going on a trip, so hop on your pirate ship...
X marks the spot, so follow the map...
and you will find treasures, but watch out ...
...its a trap!

These cookies were made for a cousin's birthday. Yes, we have little pirates in the family!

Halloween Cookies

These scary cookies were made for a frightening Halloween party.
The request was for scary cookies, not cute, so none of these pumpkins are very happy. The other terrifying cookies included...
Spider webs with black widows crawling on them,
vampires, mummies and Frankensteins,
and baby animals - scarified!
 Dancing skeletons,
and a candelabra for a little bit of mood lighting.

 Flying vampire bats,
and eyeballs that can't believe what they are seeing,
and wolves howling at the full moon.
This haunted house cookies is filled with ghosts, goblins and blood soaked rooms. It is the biggest Decorated Delectables cookie ever made - 10 cm by 15 cm - what a mouthful!
If you ask for scary cookies, you will receive gravestones with the names of you and your loved ones on them!
Here's the rest of them, everything scary you can think of, all on one plate.

Keeping with the Halloween food theme, here I am; a pig in a blanket!
